One embodiment provides a method, including: detecting a change in light level; receiving, from at least one other source, data associated with an ambient light level; determining, using a processor, whether the change in light level corresponds to a change in the ambient light level; and adjusting, responsive to determining that the change in light level corresponds to the change in the ambient light level, a brightness level of a display operatively coupled to an information handling device.
