The container is configured to accommodate toner therein and be detachably mounted on an image forming apparatus main body. The storage unit is configured to store identification information on the toner accommodated in the container, and use history information. The drive unit is configured to rotationally drive a rotation target constituted by the container to transport the toner to an opening provided in an end of the container. The detector is configured to detect a current value of the drive unit. The determination unit is configured to determine a state of the container based on the current value detected by the detector.
