Abstract:
A ferritic alloy comprising in weight %: C: 0.01-0.1; N: 0.001-0.1; O: ≤0.2; B: ≤0.01; Cr: 9.0-13.0; Al: 2.5-8.0; Si: ≤0.5; Mn: ≤0.4; Y: ≤2.2; Sc+Ce+La: ≤0.2; Mo+W: ≤4.0; Ti: ≤1.7; Zr: ≤3.3; Nb: ≤3.3; V: ≤1.8; Hf+Ta+Th: ≤6.5; the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities, wherein, the amounts of Ti+Zr+Nb+V+Hf+Ta+Th and C, N and O are balanced such that: at ⁢ ⁢ % ⁢ ⁢ Ti + at ⁢ ⁢ % ⁢ ⁢ Zr + at ⁢ ⁢ % ⁢ ⁢ Nb + at ⁢ ⁢ % ⁢ ⁢ V + at ⁢ ⁢ % ⁢ ⁢ Hf + at ⁢ ⁢ % ⁢ ⁢ Ta + at ⁢ ⁢ % ⁢ ⁢ Th - x * at ⁢ ⁢ % ⁢ ⁢ O - at ⁢ ⁢ % ⁢ ⁢ N at ⁢ ⁢ % ⁢ ⁢ C ≥ 1 wherein x is 0.5 unless the content of Y is more than or equal to 0.01 wt % then x is 0.67.
