The method may include: acquiring currently input first fingerprint information by a fingerprint detection component when a verification trigger event corresponding to a preset action is detected; adding the first fingerprint information to a fingerprint template library as an unmatched type of fingerprint template when there is no fingerprint template whose matching degree with the first fingerprint information is greater than a first preset threshold in the fingerprint template library and there is a fingerprint template whose matching degree with the first fingerprint information is greater than a second preset threshold in fingerprint template library, wherein the fingerprint template library comprises at least two types of fingerprint templates; and performing the preset action when there is a fingerprint template whose matching degree with the first fingerprint information is greater than the first preset threshold in the fingerprint template library.
