During a regeneration operation of the wet cleaning device, the impact edge is arranged so far apart between the fibers of the cleaning covering that free ends of the fibers project outward in the radial direction beyond the impact edge, and in the event of an impact on the impact edge, are deflected in the direction of the guide element.
