The substrate includes: an insulating substrate; a first metal layer, a first insulating layer, a second metal layer, a second insulating layer, and a third metal layer stacked in the stated order on the insulating substrate; a pixel control transistor; a first line; a gate driver provided with unit circuits; and a first connection line electrically connecting the first line and each unit circuit to each other. A gate electrode of the pixel control transistor is provided in the first metal layer. A drain electrode and a source electrode of the pixel control transistor are provided in the second metal layer. The first line is provided in the third metal layer. The first connection line is extended from the first line to each unit circuit through a region sandwiched by the first line and the gate driver.
