The deformable lens is deformed, and a focal length of the deformable lens is changed in response to a pressure applied onto the deformable lens by the lens assembly distally driven by the propulsion device. The deformable lens remains undeformed, and the focal length of the deformable lens remains constant in response to no pressure applied onto the deformable lens.
