The tabletop display device further includes a control unit for detecting a user's position based on light emitted from at least one of light emitting units and received from the outer side of the periphery by at least one of the light receiving units and for determining a touch position of the flat panel display based on light emitted from at least one of the light emitting units and received from the inner side of the periphery by at least one of the light receiving units.
