The operating table also includes a first pair of hydraulic cylinders for adjusting a portion of the supporting surface relative to a remainder of the supporting surface, and the supporting surface is hydraulically connected to the hydraulic unit only by a single supply line and a single return line extending between the supporting surface and the hydraulic unit.
