The material selection and design enhances the maximum bending ability and squeezing ability of the pressure sensor/switch and the sensor/switch is made to withstand heavy washes while maintaining its functionality of switching with a light touch based on the use of a waterproof stacking assembly that contains a piezoresistant material, electrodes and other components.
