The light guide plate has a light emitting surface, and another plate surface as a back surface. The lower frame has a bottom surface portion and a side surface portion, and receives the light source and the light guide plate therein. The upper frame has a top surface portion facing the light emitting surface, a side surface portion, and a pressing portion extending toward the light guide plate from an end portion of the side surface portion of the upper frame. A clearance is formed between the top surface portion and the pressing portion. The elastic member is disposed between a side surface of the light guide plate and the side surface portion of the lower frame, and between the pressing portion and the bottom surface portion.
