The apparatus includes a position measuring device configured to acquire a position of the vehicle, a camera configured to capture an image of an area around the vehicle, and a controller configured to determine a capturing requirement of the camera based on the position of the vehicle, and to determine whether to apply the capturing requirement to the camera based on a user input.
