The method comprises steps of: obtaining a first pixel data of an image displayed by the display device; converting the first pixel data into a second pixel data after the first pixel data enters a timing controller; converting at least one of the second pixel data into sub-pixel data whose amount of stored data is reduced relative to the second pixel data to obtain a corresponding third pixel data; outputting the third pixel data.
