A command (an electronic mark placement command, or the like) to which a time code value showing a command target frame in the monitoring image data is added is received from the remote control apparatus. Processing based on the command is performed on a frame corresponding to the time code value added to the command, among image data corresponding to the monitoring image data recorded on a recording medium.
