Each of the adhesive materials binds adjacent ones of the optical fibers to one another in a number that is smaller than a total number of the optical fibers. A method for manufacturing the optical fiber cable includes arranging the optical fibers in juxtaposition with one another, and applying the adhesive materials to the optical fibers in a spaced-apart manner, such that each of the adhesive materials binds adjacent ones of the optical fibers.
