Abstract:
A support of a bearing pad of a sliding bearing is provided. A bearing pad support connection is disclosed, including a bearing pad and a bearing pad support structure whereby the bearing pad is connected to a support structure by a ball joint. The bearing pad includes a ball head, and the support structure includes a ball socket. The bearing pad and the support structure are connected via a spring connection apply a force between the bearing pad and the support structure to force the ball head to rest movable in the ball socket.
