The method includes accepting a predetermined instruction for adding a predetermined mark to a first image which is being displayed. The method includes, based on at least one of a non-printing area corresponding to an area on a recording medium where printing is not to be performed and a second image being positioned at the predetermined location when the predetermined instruction is accepted, causing at least one of the first image and the second image to move. The at least one, that was positioned at the predetermined location when the predetermined instruction was accepted, of the non-printing area and the second image is not positioned at the predetermined location after at least one of the first image and the second image has been moved.
