A method for assembling a female mould on a moulding machine, comprises the steps of: providing a pre-assembled female mould arrangement, the pre-assembled female mould arrangement comprising a plurality of components including at least a base, a forming device having a forming cavity and a fastening element which renders the forming device fixed relative to the base; placing the pre-assembled female mould arrangement on a support of the moulding machine; fixing the pre-assembled female mould arrangement to the support.
