A positive electrode for a metal secondary battery includes a positive current collector; and a positive active material layer disposed on the positive current collector, wherein the positive active material layer includes: a positive active material, a salt including an alkali metal salt, an alkaline earth metal salts, or a combination thereof, and a polymeric first binder including a repeating unit represented by Formula 1 wherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C5 alkylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C6 alkoxylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C6 alkoxycarbonylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C6 alkylene oxide group, or a combination thereof, and n is an integer from 90 to 2,700.
