The present invention relates to an electronic wrist wearable device that uses image and inertia sensors to track motion of hand and wrist of a user, and is able to determine locations and orientation (relative to a stationary object in physical environment) of hand and wrist, and discrete and motion hand gestures. The wearable device can also emulate various data input devices by matching the determined gestures with preregistered gestures and sending the data associated with the matched gesture to a relevant computer device.
The wearable device sends the said tracking information of the hand and the wrist to at least one external computer, which can process the received information to simulate hand motion, and to determine discrete and motion hand gestures. The said computer can also emulate various data input devices by matching the determined gestures with preregistered gestures and using the data associated with the matched gesture.
