A stylus pen for inputting information by bringing a screen contacting portion into contact with a capacitive touch screen includes a barrel, a holder made of nonconductive material attached to a front end of the barrel, a screen contacting portion formed of conductive material and attached to a front end of the holder, and a connecting member made of conductive material that is disposed in the holder and has a resilient action along the axial direction and that conducts electricity when a front end portion of the connecting member comes into contact with the screen contacting portion. An outer diameter, perpendicular to the axial direction, of the connecting member is set to be smaller than an outer diameter, perpendicular to the axial direction, of the screen contacting portion.
