An image of an object is captured by an imaging element that includes a plurality of pixel output units that receives incident light that is incident without passing through either of an imaging lens and a pinhole. Each pixel output unit outputs one detection signal indicating an output pixel value modulated by an incident angle of the incident light, and on the basis of a detection signal acquired by the image capturing and acquired in the pixel output units, a white balance coefficient that is used for correcting a white balance of a restored image restored from the detection signal is set.
