In some aspects, a user equipment may receive (or a base station may transmit) information identifying a selected configuration for a discontinuous reception (DRX) wakeup signal (WUS) for the user equipment, wherein the selected configuration is one of a plurality of configurations; and selectively monitor a wakeup signal resource according to the selected configuration.
