In the battery, the first portion is positioned within an opposing region where the electrode current collector and the counter-electrode current collector oppose each other and is in contact with the electrode current collector and the counter-electrode current collector. In addition, the second portion is positioned outside the opposing region, and the second portion is positioned outside both an edge of the electrode current collector and an edge of the counter-electrode current collector.
