Mechanical cable release systems and methods
Abstract:
Release mechanisms and methods for engaging and disengaging cables from receptacles comprise an actuator that may be implemented at a receptacle, e.g., at a switch panel that comprises ports designed to engage with a connector. Once a force is exerted on the actuator, it causes one or more prongs to move toward a locking latch of the connector, until the latch is sufficiently depressed such as to unlock the connector and allow the connector to disengage from the receptacle.
