The tubular part has the stator assembled thereto on a radially inner or radially outer side thereof. Moreover, the tubular part has an inner wall portion and an outer wall portion that are radially spaced from and radially face each other. Between the inner wall portion and the outer wall portion, there is formed an annular coolant passage through which coolant flows. On an external surface of the tubular part of the housing on an opposite radial side to the stator, at least one elongate protrusion is formed, in an axial range where the at least one elongate protrusion radially overlaps the coolant passage, to extend obliquely or parallel to an axial direction of the rotating shaft.
