The bowl functions as a container to hold the water or food, while the lid functions in a first configuration to seal the water or food within the bowl. The bowl assembly is convenient to travel with and adapted for use in a vehicle where in the first configuration. The bowl assembly allows for the pet to access the water or food while in a cup holder. The bowl assembly is also stabilized by the lid in a second configuration, where placed on a ground or floor surface.
