The control device (20) estimates a state of congestion and a state of passengers gathering on only one lane in the passenger conveyor, based on detection signals from the passenger detection means (8A, 8B), and sets an image to be displayed by the first display unit (7A) and an image to be displayed by the second display device (7B) independently, depending on the state of congestion and the state of passengers gathering on only one lane.
