The cable storage system includes a cable storage wheel for storing the fiber optic cable, a mounting plate used to secure the cable storage wheel to the wall of the enclosure, and a spacer. The spacer has a first end secured to the mounting plate and a second end secured to the cable storage wheel for maintaining the cable storage wheel in a spaced relationship relative to the wall of the enclosure.
