The method includes assigning a cell (re)selection priority level to a plurality of candidate cells based on a core network connection support of each of the plurality of candidate cells, and selecting, in a cell (re)selection procedure, a serving cell from the plurality of candidate cells, the serving cell having a highest cell (re)selection priority level.
