Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may signal, to a base station, a capability of the UE relating to carrier aggregation for a particular category or class of the UE, such as for narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) UEs. The UE may receive, from the base station, a configuration for carrier aggregation for the particular category or class of the UE based at least in part on the capability of the UE relating to carrier aggregation for the particular category or class of the UE. The UE may communicate with the base station using carrier aggregation based at least in part on the configuration for carrier aggregation for the particular category or class of the UE.
