The present invention may include disabling at least one communication channel available at an emergency location in response to receiving a trigger signal from an electronic device, connecting electronic devices to a virtual private network (VPN) established in response to the disabling, and communicating messages pertaining to an emergency situation to the mobile devices of users logged in to the VPN network.
