The pedestal is a structure that forms a load path that transfers the load of the telescopic stanchion and the jib structure to a supporting surface. The jib structure suspends the foodstuff above the fire. The jib structure attaches to the telescopic stanchion such that the elevation of the jib above the supporting surface is adjustable.
