For instance, instruction data representative of an instruction to select a provisional channel quality indicator is received by a mobile device from network equipment based on aperiodic channel quality data associated with a sub-band, wherein the instruction data is based on a configured bandwidth part associated with a communication between the network equipment and the mobile device, and wherein a channel quality indicator comprises a full resolution associated with the sub-band. Further, in response to the receiving, the mobile device can select the provisional channel quality indicator based on the instruction data. Furthermore, in response to the selecting, the mobile device can facilitate sending the channel quality indicator to the network equipment in accordance with a full resolution instruction associated with the full resolution.
