Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a second UE on a sidelink channel, a configuration message that includes an indication of a first set of reference signals associated with a first transmit-receive point (TRP) of the first UE, an indication of a second set of reference signals associated with a second TRP of the first UE, and an indication to refrain from combining measurements based at least in part on the first set of reference signals with measurements based at least in part on the second set of reference signals. The first UE may further transmit, using the first TRP of the first UE, the first set of reference signals, and transmit, using the second TRP of the first UE, the second set of reference signals.
