The apparatus configures a UE with wake-up signal (WUS) resources to monitor for receiving a WUS during a WUS occasion associated with a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation. The apparatus determines a conflict with the WUS occasion, and in response to determining the conflict, determines an action associated with a WUS transmission. A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication at a UE. The apparatus receives a configuration for WUS resources to monitor for a WUS during a WUS occasion associated with a DRX operation. The apparatus determines a conflict with the WUS occasion, and in response to determining the conflict, determines an action associated with WUS monitoring during the WUS occasion.
