There is disclosed a method of operating a radio node in a Radio Access Network, RAN. The method includes transmitting, according to a transmission timing, a data element of a data stream associated to an acknowledgement signaling process. The transmission timing is determined based on a retransmission indication indicating whether the data element is to be transmitted the first time in the data stream, or is to be retransmitted in the data stream.
