Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an intermittently bonded optical fibre ribbon. The intermittently bonded optical fibre ribbon includes a plurality of optical fibres. The plurality of optical fibres are bonded intermittently along the length by a plurality of bonded portions spaced apart by a plurality of un-bonded portions. The plurality of bonded portions is defined by a bonded length Li and the plurality of un-bonded portions is defined by an un-bonded length. In addition, at least one of the bonded length Li and the un-bonded length varies along a predefined length of adjacent optical fibres of the plurality of optical fibres.
