In some approaches, a transaction card may include a body having a first main side opposite a second main side, wherein the body defines an outer perimeter including a first end perimeter opposite a second end perimeter, and a first side perimeter opposite a second side perimeter. The transaction card may further include an identification chip having a plurality of contacts, wherein a first contact of the plurality of contacts extends to at least one of the following: the first end perimeter, the second end perimeter, the first side perimeter, and the second side perimeter.
