The network access point device is configured to initiate an onboarding process to onboard the network extender device, to generate data to enable the display device to display a connecting status image when the onboarding process has started, to periodically check the connection state of the network extender device, and to generate data to enable the display device to display a connected status image after the network access point has been successfully onboarded.
