A terminal is disclosed including a receiver that receives configuration information for random access. The terminal also includes a processor that determines a starting symbol position of a random access resource in one or more slots based on the configuration information. The terminal further includes a transmitter that transmits a preamble in a resource starting from the starting symbol position in the one or more slots.
