Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support allocation of resources for a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) for reduced bandwidth devices. In a first aspect, a method includes monitoring, by a user equipment (UE) configured for reduced bandwidth operation, at least a subset of a first set of time and frequency resources allocated to a synchronization signal block (SSB) for UEs configured for non-reduced bandwidth operation. The SSB includes synchronization signals and a PBCH. The method includes monitoring, by the UE, a second set of time and frequency resources allocated to the PBCH for UEs configured for reduced bandwidth operation. The method includes receiving, by the UE, the synchronization signals and the PBCH within at least the subset of the first set of time and frequency resources and the second set of time and frequency resources.
