The portable markers have a short profile, are stackable, have a bottom surface with enhanced friction to prevent movement of the markers on the ice, and define an opening through which the toe of a hockey stick blade may be inserted so that the markers may be easily placed upon and lifted from the ice and transported together on the hockey stick.
