The validation may be based on comparing the first bit(s) with a first sequence of bit(s), determined using a first configuration parameter, in response to the first bit(s) not indicating a configuration index and the DCI having a first format. The validation may not be based on comparing the first bit(s) with the first sequence in response to the DCI having a second format.
