The vehicle-exterior environment recognizer is configured to recognize exterior environment of the vehicle. The erroneous-start suppression controller is configured to execute, when an obstacle is present within a set distance in an axial direction of the vehicle and an accelerator operation for starting of the vehicle to move toward the obstacle is performed, erroneous-start suppression control that prevents the start of the vehicle. The erroneous-start-suppression-control canceler is configured to cancel the erroneous-start suppression control when a steering operation that is to enable avoidance of the obstacle is input and the accelerator operation is continuously performed at a set degree of opening of an accelerator or greater for a set time period during the erroneous-start suppression control.
