A method for configuring a paging occasion includes that: a terminal receives first configuration information from a network device, where the first configuration information is used for determining at least one first paging occasion; each of the at least one first paging occasion is associated with at least one second paging occasion; and the first paging occasion and the second paging occasion are used for transmitting scheduling information of a paging message.
