In the touch display device, the touch panel, and the touch sensing circuit, and in the method of performing touch sensing therein, a structure in which a plurality of touch sensor groups is arranged is provided, and one of a self-capacitance touch sensing scheme and a mutual-capacitance touch sensing scheme is adaptively implemented according to the type and position of a touch event. Therefore, the number of signal lines and the number of touch channels may be reduced, and the ghost phenomenon can be reduced or be overcome when multiple touches occur.
