The image decoding method includes acquiring prediction mode information of a current block from a bitstream, deriving a prediction mode of the current block using the prediction mode information of the current block, acquiring information indicating whether a residual signal of a transform block for the current block is present based on at least one of information on partitioning of the current block or the prediction mode of the current block, and reconstructing the current block based on the information indicating whether the residual signal of the transform block is present.
