Wearable heart rate monitoring device for infants
Abstract:
Various embodiments of a method and a device for monitoring the health of an infant are disclosed. A wearable infant monitoring device comprising a sensing module 170 comprising: a heart rate sensor 150 configured to provide output data corresponding to heart rate of the infant wearing the infant monitoring device; a microcontroller 100 configured to receive and transmit output data; a vibration motor 140 configured to vibrate whenever the heart rate of the infant falls below a customized range; a BLE module 110 in operational unity with the microcontroller that transmits heart rate data to a user on an individual computing device application 120; a computer device application configured to receive and process the output data and generate the infant's heart rate. A method of monitoring an infant's heart rate using the wearable heart rate monitoring device comprising the heart rate sensor 150 collecting output data, wherein the output data provides information about the infant's heart rate; the microcontroller 100 receiving and transmitting the output data to the BLE module; the BLE module 110 transmitting the output data directly to a user computing device application, which computing device application processes the output data and generates the infant heart rate.
