The method includes sending channel sounding reference signal (SRS) time domain resource indication information to a terminal device, where the SRS time domain resource indication information indicates an SRS time domain resource, and the SRS time domain resource includes at least one of a first symbol to an eighth symbol in a first slot. The method further includes receiving an SRS from the terminal device on the SRS time domain resource.
